Welcome to your Backstage Pass to starting your Marquee.
Every production has a home, and in your Marquee, that starts with creating a Venue.
We'll find this in Step 2 of the Marquee Builder. This is where you define where your event is happening and add optional components that help recognize the people and organizations supporting your production.
When you enter Step 2: Venue, you’ll see two options:
If you’ve already created a venue for a previous production, you can simply attach it to your new Marquee. For this walkthrough, we’ll create a new venue.
The first section of the form is Venue Info.
Here you’ll enter:
This ensures audiences know exactly where your event is taking place.
You can also upload a Venue Logo if you have one.
Next, you’ll be asked if you’d like to include a Board of Directors section.
If you select Yes, you’ll start by adding key leadership roles such as:
By default, four roles are visible, but you can expand the list to include up to eight board positions.
You can also:
If your production doesn’t need a Board of Directors section, simply choose No and continue.
Next, you’ll have the option to include introductory messages for Donor and Tribute sections.
These short messages appear before thier respective sections in your Marquee.
If you choose to include them, you’ll see helpful formatting recommendations along with fields to add:
If you don’t need these sections, you can skip this step.
The final optional step allows you to add Producer Credits.
These appear at the very top of the Marquee — above the key art and Title Billing — giving special recognition to the individuals or organizations producing the event.
You can include up to three tiers of producers, each displayed with different visual prominence:
To ensure proper formatting, simply separate each producer’s name with a comma.
Each tier is conditionally displayed, meaning it will only appear in the Marquee if names are added.
Once you’ve filled in the sections you want to include, click Submit.
Your venue will now be created and attached to your Marquee, ready for the next steps in building your digital playbill.
