The Phone Won't Read The QR Code

There are about as many different types of phones and operating systems as there are people that use them. We want to make sure that everyone is set up for success when they pull out their phone to access the Marquee. One of the main culprits is that the Camera Settings are not set up to scan QR Codes. Some older IOS systems don't have this setting switched on in the default settings. This is a quick fix:

For iPhone Users:

Go to SETTINGS.
Click on CAMERA.
Ensure that SCAN QR CODES is switched ON.

For Android Users:

Go to SETTINGS
Select System Apps
Select CAMERA.
Ensure that SCAN QR CODES is switched ON.

Scan QR Code Using The Built-In QR Code Scanner
- Launch the CAMERA APP and touch LENS ICON in left corner.
- Point your camera to the QR code.
- Your phone will recognize the code and display the Marquee.
Scan QR Code Using Google Lens
- Open the CAMERA APP.
- Tap the LENS ICON to open Google Lens.
- Point your camera towards the QR code and your phone will display the Marquee.

If these steps do not work, there is a URL link version of the Marquee available, either on the Theatre Website or in an Email, that will take the user directly to the Marquee without needing to use the QR Code.

There Is No Cell Service

Some performance spaces do not have the best cell service in certain spots of the venue. Marquee Digital will have a conversation with the theatre to discuss the service and WiFi capabilities. If there is a guest WiFi, ensure that a password is either posted around the venue alongside the QR Code, or that a password is not necessary. That will ensure quick access for the guests.

What If A Patron Doesn't Have A Smart Phone?

One of Marquee Digital's guiding principles is accessibility. We have created a digital program that is accessible on Smart Phones, but also has a desktop iteration that will be available prior to, and after, the performance. Guests will be able to access the Desktop version via a link provided by the Theatre, Where they will also be able to access the Marquee One Sheet– a downloadable and printable billing sheet that will have all the most vital information in one place.

Everyone loves the experience of going to the theatre. That experience is often imprinted, no pun intended, on the the print program they receive that night. Marquee Digital wants to expand that experience, for audience and the production. By moving the traditional print program to The Marquee, there is an opportunity to follow the West End business model and offer curated Souvenir Programs for purchase that are tailored specifically around the experience of the audience. No extra filler. Just pure experience for the audience, and prospective sales growth for you.
