Prince Charming's Wig

PRINCE CHARMING’S WIG - returns to Arts Collective Theatre for its second appearance after a critically acclaimed debut in Victor/Victoria. The critics were other wigs, but the reviews were unanimous.

Now starring in Once Upon a One More Time, it tackles its most demanding role yet: making Prince Charming look like a douchebag with access to generational wealth.

Expertly styled by Phedre Delinois, the Wig brings bounce, body, and the confidence of a man who has never been told “no.” Phedre is credited as Wig Stylist, although the Wig prefers “Personal Creative Director and Emotional Support Human.”

It graciously allows Ethan Fisher to appear beneath it. While Ethan handles the singing, dancing, and dialogue, the Wig does the actual character work: being strawberry blonde and looking like it would interrupt a woman. It firmly believes it outshines his performance and has asked that his microphone be lowered so audiences can better appreciate its volume.

Previous credits include Hairspray, Hair, and a departure from Tangled over creative differences with a brush. It declined Wicked because it refuses to work under a hat.

The Wig thanks Phedre for shaping its career, hairspray for its unwavering hold, and Ethan for providing a warm scalp and reliable transportation. It has requested its own dressing room. For now, it is sharing with a head on a stick, whom it describes as “the most generous scene partner I’ve ever had.”

It dedicates this performance to everyone personally victimized by bad wigs at other theatres in and around Jacksonville. You know the ones. So does it.

Please do not touch the Wig after the show. It is still in character and will contact its union.
