Sabrina Hamilton is thrilled to be a part of this “unconventional” production. You may have seen her in Stageworks rendition of The Color Purple, or perhaps in A Haunted Cabaret with The Off Central Players. The theatre has always been her second home. Mom- you are my biggest supporter. None of this is possible without you. I love you! Isaiah, I’m so glad that we are in this for life. Thank you for being the Edd to my Eddy. Brandon, you were the biggest surprise and now, one of my most treasured friends. Thank you for helping me find the light again.


Aaron Collins
Aaron Collins is a Tampa native who currently resides in New York City. He fell in love with music at the age of 10 when he first started to play piano. His love for piano and music expanded to him becoming a graduate at Blake High School of Performing Arts and later continuing his education at Berklee School of Music as well as finishing his degree of Ethnomusicology at Portland State University. His professional career started playing in churches as a pianist and organist and later joining numerous bands across Tampa Bay Area starting with ACE Factor where he was asked by his high school band director to cover for him, and later joining bands such as Late Night Brass, Neo-Teric, La Traia Savage, City Groove. Aaron is excited to be back in Tampa Bay Area making his American Stage debut.


Clarke Jacobson
Clarke grew up in St. Pete and is proud of his deep connections to the local music and art scene. He plays in the band All Day Breakfast, teaches music at the School of Rock, and works with theatre companies throughout the area. His musical influences include Radiohead, Steely Dan, and D’Angelo. He studied music locally at the Pinellas County Center for the Arts and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston.


Matthew McGloin
Matthew is a performer based in New York and firmly believes in the power of live theatre to connect and heal. Rick Nolting
Rick is thrilled to be playing bass as part of the Angry Inch in American Stage’s production of Hedwig. This is his first role with American Stage. He has performed in many shows in the Midwest area, including Hello Dolly, West Side Story, Shrek, Oliver, Annie, My Way, and others. He recently retired from a career in the public schools, where he was a band/orchestra director, and later a school counselor. He is active with several groups, including the Beloit/Janesville Symphony Orchestra, the Rockford Wind Ensemble, and rock and jazz groups.


Elijah Pafumi
Eli Pafumi is an LA based multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and teacher. His theatrical compositions can be heard in The Magi and Merry Happy…What? by Helen Murray and Familia de Flamingos by Miguel Muñoz as well as The Figs (American Stage), Hurricane Diane (Aurora Fox) and Act A Lady (Hub Theatre). Eli has also performed with Cirque Berzerk on installations with Dedo Vabo (Coachella) and The Dream Emporium (Electric Forest). As a musician, Eli has performed with the Polyphonic Spree, Rozzi, Zach Day, Arcadia Bay and his own brother-band RitaRita who accompanies Eli as a host and artist-in-residence of The Hotel Cafe’s Monday Monday showcase. Eli is a veteran performer in the worldwide network of Sofar Sounds, the music director of the eastern/western fusion music school SaReGaMe based in Ashburn VA, a TEDxHerndon speaker, x3 Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards Youth Finalist and Kennedy Center Award for Excellence recipient. Jeremiah Pafumi
Jeremiah Pafumi (drummer) is a multi disciplinary artist living and working in Los Angeles California. Their varying interest will have them clowning and juggling at Luna Luna: forgotten fantasy, performing at festivals like Electric forest and lightning in a bottle all with the well known Circus company Cirque Berzerk. When doing a musical flex, they are a proud band member of RitaRita (in residence at the Hotel Cafe) Steers N Queers, and Zach Day and the Bussy boys. Jeremiah also puts media to paper among other things and is constantly creating new art both visually and musically. Other bright spots for performance are with Shaquille O’niells fun house, Winter fest, and The polyphonic spree. Jeremiah would like to thank their Mother for raising them in an opened minded and in a creative environment. Mars Powers
Mars Powers is a nonbinary performer who is going crazy over understudying the dream role, Hedwig! After touring as Sam in the Florida premiere of The Day You Begin with American Stage they are very excited for another opportunity to evolve. A few more theatrical credits of Powers include Little Boy in Ragtime: The Musical (American Stage), Jinx in Plaid Tidings* (Straz Center), Narrator in A1 (Emergance Dance Company), and Will in Master of the Revels (FST). Notable Film Credits include Avery in OpenDoors, Pheonix in Swim: A LGBTQ+ Romance, and Jeff in The Librarian. Mars is thankful for all of their mentors whether they know that they see them as that or not and thank you for supporting the arts. This is K's second appearance at American Stage, having previously played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. Other credits include: Cambodian Rock Band (TheatreSquared), Twelfth Night (Catskill Mountain Shakespeare), A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry V, Hand to God (Jobsite), OPEN, King Lear (Tampa Rep). K has also worked as lead vocalist on Princess Cruises. Film credits: What Rhymes with Magdalena?, The Friend Zone, Love's Playist. Represented by BEartists NYC.


Morgan Tapp
Morgan Tapp is thrilled to be making her American Stage debut with this story. Her work as an actor and musician has taken her across the country, but this is her first time performing professionally in Florida. She's filled with gratitude to have the opportunity to create art back in her hometown. Morgan is a recent graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (blaze on!!) where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre. Select credits include: Ex-Girlfriend in Once (San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre), Busker/Violin in Gift of the Magi (Breckenridge Backstage Theatre), Baker's Wife in Into The Woods, Crissy in Hair, (UAB) and Alice in the world premiere of Pink Clouds (Red Mountain Theatre) a new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer John Archibald. All the love and thanks in the world to her family for their unwavering support.


Kathryn Huettel
Kathryn Huettel (she/her/hers) is a graduate of St Leo University with a degree in Theater Studies. She has been seen on stage in performances such as The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical as Annabeth Chase (ThinkTank), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Marcy Park (Stageworks), The Wolves as #25 (ThinkTank), The Day You Begin school tour as Min (American Stage), Twelfth Night as Fabian (Jobsite), and more. She also loves crafting accessories and decor from recycled materials like plastic bags and magazine paper. Recently, she has been professionally voice acting for childrens’ podcasts on Gokidgo.com and comic dubbing on YouTube. Kathryn is super excited to have the pleasure of performing a new and upcoming piece!


Megan Phillips
Megan is excited to make her acting debut at American stage! Last year you could catch her as the stage craft fellow at American stage. Currently she is attending the University of South Florida working to achieve her bachelors degree as a theatre performance major. She would like to thank family and friends for supporting her.


Angelina Samreny
Angelina Samreny is excited to be working again with American Stage as the Stage Directions Reader of “Bonefruit”. Angelina was part of American Stage’s Lift Every Voice: New Play Festival 2024, and prior to that, could be seen as the Serpent in American Stage’s production of The Diaries of Adam & Eve. Angelina is a classically trained vocalist whose performance experience includes: In the Heights (ensemble); The Hunchback of Notre Dame (ensemble); The Little Mermaid (Andrina/Mer-Sister); Moises el Musical (Egyptian handmaid/ensemble), and various Spanish Zarzuelas (operettas) with Spanish Lyric Theatre. Angelina has also sung with the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and in the Assisi Performing Arts Festival in Italy. Angelina is an Ecuadorean, Italian, Lebanese American who speaks Spanish and basic Italian. Angelina was raised traveling the world with a military family with strong storytelling traditions. When she’s not acting, she can be found working as an immigration paralegal, regularly performing as a vocalist, or gardening.


Joey Birchler
American Stage debut! Joey is thrilled to be revisiting this role. He’s also revisiting this area, as he was here last October to watch his Detroit Lions defeat the Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium. Favorite Credits: South Pacific (Lt. Kristin Carbone
Kristin Carbone, AEA (Mrs. Potts) is thrilled to be back at American Stage, where she was last seen as Helen in Fun Home in 2019. Kristin moved to Tampa Bay in 2017, before which she lived and worked as a professional actor in NYC for 25 years. During that time she played roles in four Broadway shows, including Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, (Crazy Marie/Madame) Mary Poppins, (Mrs. Banks) Fiddler on the Roof (Tzeitel) and Into The Woods. She also toured with the 1st Nationals of Show Boat (Magnolia) and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast as the Sugar Bowl - so now, playing Mrs. Potts feels like a lovely promotion! Recent roles in Florida theatre include Brittany Cox in Nightsweat at freeFall Theatre, Mrs. Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank at StageWorks, Sister Berthe in Sound of Music at Asolo Repertory Theatre, and at Theatre Zone, as Francesca Johnson in The Bridges of Madison County and Daisy Gamble in On A Clear Day...Favorie regional roles include Christine in Phantom at the Walnut Street Theatre, Luisa in The Fantasticks at Utah Shakes, Nina in Dear World at Goodspeed, Lilli/Kate in Kiss Me, Kate and Abigail Adams in 1776 at the Lyceum Theatre, and Marian Paroo in The Music Man at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Chris Cordero was most recently seen as Chip Tolentino in The 25th…Spelling Bee at Straz’s Shimberg Playhouse (mad Theatre). Other regional credits include: Shrek in Shrek (New Tampa Performing Arts Center); Cat in the Hat in Seussical (Missing Piece Theatre); Mendel in Falsettos (mad Theatre); Zangara in Assassins (mad Theatre); Bud Frump in How to Succeed… (Manatee Performing Arts Center); and Brian in the Florida premiere of Christmas Contigo (Stageworks). Erin Foltz is an NYC based singer/dancer. She has performed all over the US and Canada but is grateful to have traded NYC skyscrapers and rain for palm trees and sunshine! Mathenee Treco
Mathenee Treco, originally from Nassau, Bahamas, recently starred as Coach Ernie Ames in the video game ‘NBA 2K20" and its follow-ups '2K21' and '2K22'. He starred in Hamilton: An American Musical originating the roles of Hercules Mulligan and James Madison in its first national tour. He was also a top 20 finalist on FOX’s competition reality show, American Idol. A writer in LA, Mathenee is currently workshopping his new musical called BULLY, and is writing on the upcoming animated tv series "Breaking Bear" for The Cartel. Regional credits: Frank in The Rocky Horror Show Bobby in Memphis, Wining Boy in The Piano Lesson. Mathenee is also a songwriter and music producer. Nik Vlachos
Nik Vlachos (Gaston) is excited to be making his American Stage debut. This is his fourth time doing Beauty and the Beast, having made his theatrical debut as the dog footstool. Thank you to Kenny, Jess, family, besties, and Mac.


Devyn Warburton
This will be his first production at American Stage. He’s here from Colorado where he performed in Cinderella at the Arvada Center. He has also performed in Newsies, The Music Man, An American in Paris (Hale Center Theater); The Sound of Music, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Center Pointe Theater).


Troy Brooks
Troy is excited to work once again with American Stage, having appeared last year in Ragtime and Pueblo Revolt. Other local credits include Scrooge Macbeth, A Haunted Cabaret, and Something Clean at The Off Central and Frankenstein at Jobsite Theatre. Board Member of Outcast Theatre Collective, producing theatre by and for marginalized groups.


Joseph Condon
Joseph Condon is proud to work with American Stage again. He is an alumnus of both
Pinellas County Center for the Arts as well as The University of Alabama in Birmingham for
Musical Theater. Born and raised in St.Petersburg, Joseph is very excited about professionally
performing in his hometown. A big thankyou to all of his loved ones for supporting him.

Nigel Bailey
Nigel Bailey is extremely proud to be joining the American Stage cast of Ragtime. Nigel lives in St. Petersburg with his family and attends St. Petersburg Christian School. He is in the fifth grade, and his favorite subjects are science and social studies. Nigel is a part of his school’s musical theater program, and recently appeared in the musical, A Christmas Yarn (a twist on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol). Nigel has attended American Stage youth classes and summer camps since the age of six. Aside from acting, Nigel enjoys martial arts and playing on his school’s bowling team. Nigel would like to thank his mother for her love and support. He also thanks his musical theater instructors and American Stage teaching artists for contributing to his love for acting and theater. Nigel dedicates his performances to the memory of his late uncle, Michael Walker, for always encouraging him to follow his dreams.


Derek Baxter
Derek Bexter is thrilled to be returning to Demens Landing once again, previously seen in The Taming of the Shrew (Tranio) and The Pirates of Penzance (Pirate/Cop). Derek has been performing professionally since he was 9 years old and spent his teens on Nickelodeon's "All That" and "The Kenan & Kel Show". After pursuing a BFA in Theatre at NYU (Tisch) he promptly ran away with the circus serving as a clown and aerialist. Now he resides in Tampa Bay, works full time as the Entertainment Director at the Carrollwood Cultural Center, and directs at many local theatres. Thank you to this amazing cast, crew, the 'rents, family, and my friends.


Troy Brooks
Troy Brooks was most recently the Male Swing for American Stage's Crimes of the Heart, and has participated in multiple staged readings for the company. Other local credits include Something Clean and A Haunted Cabaret at Studio Grand Central. Member of Outcast Theatre Collective, a cooperative engaged in uplifting marginalized artists and diverse stories, whose works include Dionysus on the Downlow (Stageworks) and Pass Over (Studio@620).

Elizabeth Gelman
Elizabeth Gelman is delighted to return to the stage after a 15-year hiatus. A proud member of AEA, Gelman has appeared in national tours and Chicago area productions, including Shy in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Aldonza in Man of LaMancha, Rhetta in Pump Boys & Dinettes, Clelia in The Nerd (with Tony Shalhoub), and Contessa in HATS! (with Melissa Manchester). Gelman is currently the Senior Director of Arts and Cultural Programming at Creative Pinellas and serves as Cantorial Soloist at Temple B’nai Israel in Clearwater. She and her husband, composer Tom Sivak, are the parents of two exceptionally brilliant and beautiful daughters.


Anthony Gervais
Anthony Gervais is a St. Pete native actor, director, and writer. He was recently seen as Bernard in A Number and Jamie in The Last Five Years (Off-Central Players). Anthony is an Artist in Residence at the Studio@620 and serves as Creative Associate at the Off-Central Players. He proudly holds a BFA from The Boston Conservatory.


Billy Goldstein
Billy Goldstein is thrilled to be making his American Stage debut in such a timely and pertinent piece. Other regional credits include: Toad in A Year with Frog and Toad (North Shore Music Theatre) Amos Hart in Chicago (Park Playhouse); two seasons as Old Joe/Joe Miller in A Christmas Carol (North Shore Music Theatre); Stewpot in South Pacific (Reagle Music Theatre); Mutt in Kinky Boots (Theatre by the Sea & North Shore Music Theatre); Albin/Zaza in La Cage Aux Folles (Arundel Barn Playhouse) and many more! He received his B.F.A in Musical Theatre from Pace University and would love to thank his friends, family and Dan for the endless support and for always believing in him!


Clinton Harris
Clinton Harris is excited to return to American Stage Theatre to work with this multi-talented cast and crew. Clinton was last seen at American Stage in the park productions of Rent and Hair. A native of Atlanta, Ga. Clinton attended Tri-Cities High School VPA Magnet Program, The Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta and Albany State University. Clinton performed at Disney in, Finding Nemo the Musical, and Festival of the Lion King. Clinton has performed in various regional productions. Also, Clinton has traveled internationally as a background vocalist for several artist.


Megan Hoxie
Born and raised in Tampa, Megan is thrilled to make her American Stage debut. She was most recently seen as Mollie in The Mousetrap at The Judson Theatre. Other credits include: Ariel in Footloose (Norwegian Cruise Lines), Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde (Nat’l Tour), Patty Simcox/Sandy understudy in Grease (Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines), and Princess in Love’s Labour’s Lost (The York Theatre Company). She received her B.A. in theatre performance from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. Megan would like to thank God, her family, and Sam for their continual love and support as she pursues her passion for storytelling.


Noah Jordan
Noah Jordan is 9 years old and this will be his first professional project. Noah has attended American Stage’s summer camp for the past 4 years. Noah’s interests include anything space-related and cooking.


Maria Lara
Maria Lara was most recently seen as Cinderella in Cinderella Eats Rice and Beans at American Stage. Other roles include: Ariel (The Little Mermaid, Broadway Star of The Future Winner 2021), Catherine (Pippin), Woman C (World Goes ‘Round), Juliet (When Shakespeare Ladies Meet), Usherette (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Ramona Merengue (Zombie Prom), Clara (A Christmas Carol), Lady Lucille (Once Upon a Mattress), Rootie (Asleep on the Wind). She is a current student at St. Petersburg College majoring in musical theatre. She was awarded The Music Theatre Recognition Scholarship at AMDA College of the Performing Arts. Maria is very grateful to Juan, José, Alexa, Ashlie and Karla for this opportunity. Special thanks to Scott, Lisa and David for always believing in her and for guiding her from the beginning of her musical theatre journey and to her family for supporting her in every step of the way.


Mona Lim
Mona Lim is Korean-American and grew up in Iowa. She is also a Yale dropout who abandoned a career in medicine to pursue theatre. She eventually found her niche and has spent 30+ years teaching/directing children and young adults. After raising a generation of artists, it suddenly dawned on Mona that she had once had her own dreams of performing so she started auditioning about 18 months ago and quickly found herself playing Tanya (Cougar) in Mamma Mia, Fraulein Kost (Pro-Nazi Prostitute) in Cabaret and Electra (Stripper) in Gypsy. Her children and granddaughter are grateful that she will be playing something age-appropriate (and fully dressed) in Ragtime. Appearing in her first professional show since 1997, Mona is thrilled to be demonstrating that your third act should be all about living your dreams and doing what you love!


Laura McKenna
Laura McKenna was most recently seen as Woman in The Thing About Men with The Gulf Coast Symphony in Fort Myers, Florida. Other regional credits include Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense (Amici Theatre Company) and The Music Man (St. Petersburg Opera Company). Collegiate credits include: Celia in As You Like It, Helga in Cabernet, Patience (title role), and Woman 2 in Songs for a New World. Laura is a graduate of Florida Southern College with degrees in BM Vocal Performance & BFA Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. Special thanks and love to Mom, Dad, and Lindsay.


Elizabeth Meckler
Elizabeth Meckler is thrilled to be back at American Stage! You may have seen her as Alysha in Green Day’s American Idiot earlier this season. She is a St. Pete native currently living in NYC. Selected credits include Sheila in Hair, Logainne "Schwarzy" in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Olivia in the upcoming short film, "Daughter of Wands." Elizabeth is a proud graduate of PCCA (Pinellas County Center for the Arts) and The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre. Sarah Middough
Sarah Middough is thrilled to be making her American Stage debut in Ragtime. She has toured the U.S. and Canada as Mutti in My Heart in a Suitcase (Artspower National Touring Theatre) and was most recently seen as Rhoda in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (Alhambra Theatre & Dining). Other select regional credits include Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer (Count Basie Theatre), Maggie Winslow in A Chorus Line (Count Basie Theatre), Ghost the Musical (Alhambra Theatre & Dining), the Florida Festival of New Musicals (Winter Park Playhouse), and A Christmas Carol (McCarter Theatre Center). Sarah is a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A. with distinction in international relations. She’d like to thank Devin, her family, and her friends for their unwavering love and support.


Siobhan Monique
Siobhan began classical vocal training at The Pinellas County Center for the Arts program at Gibbs High School. During her tenure at the center, she received numerous awards and accolades, including being named a finalist in the Walker Rising Stars Scholarship Foundation and being a featured soloist at the National Holocaust Remembrance project in Washington D.C. After graduation, Siobhan attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and received a degree in Classical Voice under the direction of Dr. Warren Jaworski. Currently, Siobhan is the lead singer of her band "Siobhan Monique and “The Negro Ninja’s.” Siobhan has appeared at the Palladium Theater; Rock the Park; Jannus Live; American Stage, Mahaffy Theater; the Straz Center; Williams Park.In addition, a WEDU-PBS documentary featuring Siobhan has been nominated for an Emmy; Siobhan is the spokesperson for a nonprofit organization, RaceWithoutIsm, and is curator of the "Motherland Music Festival."


Danté J.L. Murray
Danté is beyond grateful to be making his debut here at the American Stage in the role of Coalhouse Walker Jr. Recently seen as Robert Kincaid in Bridges of Madison County at the Falmouth Theatre Guild; also Once on This Island and Ain't Misbehavin' at The Encore Music Theater. Dante is currently pursuing going back to school and looking forward to a future as an Educator in the Arts. Other regional credits include: Delray in Memphis (Artistry Theater); Mister in The Color Purple (Theater West End); Tarzan (Slow Burn Theater Company); Side Show (BuckCreek Playhouse); Treasure Island (Beef & Boards); Showboat (Naples Dinner Theater); 5 Guys Named Moe (Stage Door). Martin Powers
Martin Powers is stoked to be making his American Stage debut in Ragtime: The Musical! They recently worked with The Straz Center as Jinx in Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings and FST as Will in Master of the Revels. Other works of hers include: Phoenix in “SWIM” (Film), Mercutio in Jobsite Theater's Romeo and Juliet (Theatre), Jeff in The Librarian (Film), and Flute/Moth in Jobsite Theatre's A Midsummer Night's Dream. He's grateful for his treasure Jasper, and their four cats for being their rocks.

Jai Shanae
Jai Shanae is a multi-talented artist and native to Tampa, Florida. Under her alias Jai Shanae, Janesia was most recently seen as a Church Lady in The Color Purple (Stageworks Theatre), and a Hot Box Girl in Guys & Dolls (Westcoast Black Theatre). Other regional credits Janesia is known for includes: Tammi Terrell in Martin Gaye: Prince of Soul (Westcoast Black Theatre); and Hunnie in Jelly’s Last Jam (National Black Theatre Festival). Jai Shanae also starred in the short film “Killer Date Night” where you’ll also find her vocals on the closing credits soundtrack. Previously majoring in Chorus, Creative Writing, and Musical Theater during her high school years at Howard W. Blake, Jai Shanae wishes to reach levels in her career that will allow her the platform to provide a safe, artistic space for battered women and children. “I am black. I am woman. I am a survivor.”


Matthew Harper Stevenson
Matthew Harper Stevenson is a DC native now living in NYC. He could have been recently seen as Kenickie in Grease (Palace Theatre), in a different Grease as Eugene (Interlakes Summer Theater), or in the world premiere of Drew Gasparini's We Aren’t Kids Anymore (Ferguson Center for the Arts). He received his Degree in Musical Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport Universtiy. Matt would specifically like to shout out his parents, Bob and Laura, his beautiful sisters Erin and Brittany and his kind and loving girlfriend Sarah. Without any of y'all, I would never be able to do what I do every day. Much love!


Leah Stewart
Leah Stewart is a California resident, native of St. Louis, MO. She is a singer, dancer, musician, model and writer. Blessed to perform on stages around the world and throughout the US, she was in the cast of the off-Broadway production of Mama, I Want to Sing. She was in the feature films Cook & Banks and Remember Me: A Mahalia Jackson story starring Ledisi. She starred as Nina Simone in the St. Louis Black Rep’s production of Nina Simone: Four Women. She also is currently a cast member of Disneyland in Tale of the Lion King at Disneyland as Timon and Shenzi in “Disney Junior Dance Party”. She also sings with bands Urban Music Society, Diamond Empire, Lucky Devils, and Motown Magic. She sang back up for national recording artists Chester Gregory, Alex Sparrow, Jennifer Singer and is touring the globe with one of "America's Got Talent" finalists, Marcus Terrell and The Serenades. She performed at Beirut’s premiere night club Al Mandaloun. She won Kevin Kline awards for her acting in “Doubt a Parable" with Dramatic License Productions and "Sarafina", and "A Song for Coretta" and won several awards starring as Ti Moune, in 3D Theatricals production of "Once on this Island". She was in Rivers of Women directed by award winning and bestselling author, Lyah Beth LeFlore. Leah received a BA in Theater Dance with a Chemistry minor from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She feels blessed for this wonderful opportunity.


Cody Taylor
Cody Taylor is an actor, musician and clown/physical comedian from Lexington, KY, who was recently seen as Francis in Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol's production of La Cage Aux Folles. Selected regional credits include: Mr. McQueen in Urinetown (Tierra del Sol); the Bank Manager in Once (Red Mountain Theatre); Jetsam in The Little Mermaid, Peter in The Lion, The Witch, and the Waredrobe, and La the elf in Twas the Night (Lexington Children's Theatre); Andrew Jackson in The Gathering (Cherokee Historical Association); Reverend Schermerhorn in Unto These Hills (Mountainside Theatre); Robert Armin in Equivocation (Athens West Theatre). He has also worked extensively with the National Theatre for Children, the Appalachian Shakespeare Center, and the Sterling Renaissance Festival. He holds a B.F.A. in physical theatre from Coastal Carolina University, in association with the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy. He'd like to thank his family for their undying support.


A.R. Williams
A.R. Williams is a native of St. Petersburg, FL and a graduate of Florida A&M University. As a Music Performance Major, A.R. was a member of the FAMU Concert Choir and the Omicron Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America Inc. A.R. has traveled nationally and internationally singing at numerous events and festivals, including Bob Marley's 60th Birthday Celebration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Africa. Since 2011, A.R. has been a lead singer at Busch Gardens Tampa in Christmas From the Heart, Timbuktunes and Men of Note as well as a background vocalist for Josh Groban. Past credits include Washington & Eisenstadt Presents: Broadway Bent (Carrollwood Cultural Center), Denver Thomas in Rocket Science (Lab Project Theatre), and Doug in Elegies for Angels, Punks & Raging Queens (The Space). A.R. is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the American Stage family.


Adebowalé Adebiyi
Adebowalé was most recently seen as Albert/Kevin in Clyborne Park directed by Bianca Laverne Jones at Columbia University’s School of the Arts. Other credits include: a costar role on “Dickinson” (AppleTV), Gaev/Thomas in The Cherry Orchard/Magnolia (Columbia SoA). Adebowale is well pleased to make his regional theater debut on American Stage. He will be entering his final year at Columbia, where he is studying Theater(Acting Concentration).


Massiel Evans
is a passionate island girl from Nassau, The Bahamas. She recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Acting and Directing from Eastern Connecticut State University along with a film studies minor. While in The Bahamas, Massiel has starred in two local plays and one local bahamian movie. Her first year in undergrad she received the leading role in a main stage production called Chitra. Since then she has starred in four other shows as an actress, two shows as an assistant director for Eastern and for a professional theater company, Spectrum Theater and ended her college career by directing a main stage production called Blood at the Root. She has also written, directed and filmed two small pieces under her film studies minor. She made her American stage debut last year in The Odd Couple as Cecily.


Hannah Hockman
Hannah is currently an Acting & Production Apprentice at American Stage & excited to be making her American Stage debut! She recently graduated from Eckerd College with a BA in Theatre with minors in Marketing & Music. Hannah has spent two summers studying in New York City with The Atlantic Acting School and The Circle in the Square Conservatory. Her favorite roles include the lead role in Feinstein’s/54 Below concert of Call It in the Air, & Steve in She Kills Monsters (Eckerd College). She recently made her directorial debut with Heathers: The Musical, Eckerd’s first student run main stage production. Hannah would like to thank her parents & her dog for putting up with her. Kate Hoster
Kate Hoster is a rising Junior Musical Theatre and Applied Dance double major at The University of Tampa. Kate is excited to be making her first professional show debut in The Dutchman at The American Stage Theatre! Her most recent performance was in a cabaret entitled From Godspell to Wicked under the direction of Paul Finocchiaro. A few of her favorite previous roles include portraying Sophie in Mamma Mia!, A Star to Be in Annie, and Doctor in 9 to 5. Jessica Jennelle
Jessica Jennelle was most recently seen in Footloose: The Musical at American Stage in the Park. Other roles include Almost, Maine at West Coast Players, and The Laramie Project at St. Petersburg College Arts Dept. She has also worked on productions such as Pippin and Into the Woods as a Props Master. Jessica is currently an acting and production apprentice here at American Stage. Deisha King
Deisha A. King credits the beginning of her dance education to local dance studios and magnet and performing arts schools in the Broward/Miami-Dade areas, where she trained in ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, acro, ballroom and contemporary forms. Her training led her to the University of South Florida, where she received her BFA in Dance Performance/Choreography. Upon graduating from USF in 2018, Deisha performed original works with local Tampa/St.Pete dance companies and partnered with community organizations where she teaches dance education. Deisha was most recently seen in the 2021 Neiman Marcus Holiday campaign “Celebrate Big, Love Even Bigger”. She thanks God for the gift of dance and for the unwavering support of her village of family and friends.


Enoch King
Enoch is an Atlanta native and is excited to return to AS! His previous AS credits include: It’s a Wonderful Life, Skeleton Crew, Between Riverside and Crazy, and A Raisin in the Sun. Recent credits include: The Light (Horizon Theatre) The Bluest Eye (Synchronicity Theatre), Paradise Blue, Skeleton Crew (True Colors Theatre), Hands of Color (Synchronicity Theatre – Suzi Bass Award for Best World Premiere), A Christmas Carol (Shakespeare Tavern), The Mountaintop (Heritage Theatre Festival), Anne and Emmett (Amsterdam, VA, NY, NC), The Christians(Actor’s Express – Suzi Bass Award for Best Supporting Actor). Tyrese Pope
Tyrese is back onstage after a four-year hiatus to focus on film and music. His theatrical works include; Ensemble in Hunchback of Notre Dame, David Dennis and Aaron Henry in All the Way, and Reuben Mercer in American Stage's production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. He is honored to make his return to acting alongside the wonderful team at American Stage.

Evan Smith
Born and raised in Florida, Evan has been dancing his entire life. As a graduated member of Leonard’s Academy of Dance competition team, he was able to apply what he had learned from the competition stage to being a studio and competition instructor. Graduating from Howard W. Blake, Evan went on to study at the University of South Florida as a Dance major. Apart from his school and LAD life, he is also proud to be an alumni of The Chocolate Nutcracker, as well as a member of the United Nations of Dance Musical Performance Troupe. He is now a company member of projectALCHEMY.


Tay Anderson
Tay Anderson is thrilled to be making her debut at American Stage! Regional credits include: Bonnie Parker in Bonnie And Clyde The Musical (Garden Theatre), Peggy Jones in The Andrews Brothers and Lois Franklin in Life Could Be A Dream (Winter Park Playhouse), Missy Miller in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Victory Productions), Madame in Cinderella and Mary Bailey in Miracle In Bedford Falls (Orlando Repertory Theatre), Enid in Legally Blonde The Musical and Ethel in 42nd Street (Maine State Music Theatre). Bryce Bayer
Bryce Bayer was most recently seen as an Angel in Kinky Boots at Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre. Other regional credits include: Roy in A Chorus Line and an Ursula Puppeteer in The Little Mermaid (St. Louis MUNY). Bryce also appeared in the Florida Festival of New Musicals last summer as Michael Darling in The Lost Girl (Winter Park Playhouse). He received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. Bianca Chico
Bianca Chico is so happy to be returning for her second park show! A Florida native, she was most recently seen in South Florida’s The Polar Express Train Ride. Other regional credits include Rusty in Footloose (Alhambra Theatre & Dining); Estella in West Side Story (Show Palace Dinner Theatre); Ensemble in Mamma Mia! (American Stage). Bianca also made guest appearances in Disney’s Dance the Magic Holiday & Spring Parade; The Radio City Christmas Spectacular feat. The Rockettes (The Straz Center for the Performing Arts); Norwegian Cruise Line’s Stars at Sea. She has been more active in the dance world recently as an instructor/choreographer in Clearwater. Alex is grateful to be returning to the stage in Footloose. In 2018, Alex sustained multiple ankle fractures during a performance which halted his career. He moved to St. Pete to be with family, have surgery, and begin physical therapy. Cameron Hale Elliot
Cameron is excited to be back for his second production with American Stage, and especially the return of the summer park show! Last seen as Al in A Chorus Line (The Wick, interrupted), he has also been seen as Sky in Mamma Mia! (American Stage, Alhambra Dinner Theatre), Tony in West Side Story (Theater West End), Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde (Henegar Center), Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Jack Kelly in Newsies (Titusville Playhouse). Based in NY, he is ready to take on the world and achieve many goals this year and future years to come after our brief theatrical pause. Thanks go out to Shain, the creative team, and American Stage for this extreme honor, and thanks always go out to mom, dad, and family for never doubting he would go far and do great things. Megan Ann Fernandez
After a ten year hiatus, Megan Fernandez could not be more honored and excited to return to her theatrical roots with American Stage in the Park. After a childhood spent on stage, Megan trained at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she specialized in musical and experimental theatre. She has performed all over the world, including experimental theatre workshops in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her credits include Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), Hair (Crissy/Company), Once on this Island (Company), Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche Dubois), Julius Caesar (Portia), and Red Light Winter (Christina). In 2004, Megan played Rusty in Footloose at Sarasota's Eight O'Clock Theatre. Eighteen years later, she is back as Vi. When she is not onstage, Megan is a practicing criminal defense attorney with Fernandez Bardine Law as well as a Reiki Master and practitioner with Sacred Spaces Healing.


Tyler Fish
Tyler Fish is excited to return to his hometown of St. Pete and to American Stage in the Park after performing in The Producers as Mr. Marks/Jason Green and others. He was most recently seen in freeFall Theatre’s production of Dames at Sea (Hennesey/Captain). Some other favorite roles include Crazy for You (Bobby Child), Singing in the Rain (Cosmo Brown), The Full Monty (Ethan), Hello Dolly! (Rudolph), 42nd Street (Bert Barry), Annie Get Your Gun (Charlie Davenport), On the Town (Chip), Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Kenny Franks), and Barefoot in the Park (Paul Bratter). Tyler also appeared on HBO’s The Deuce' and performs as a member of the Voices of Gotham chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. He would like to thank his parents for their perpetual support, and sends a special “Life is Good” to his wife Erin.


Jada Griffin
Jada Griffin was most recently seen as Goneril in Tampa Rep's King Lear. Other regional credits include Ali in Mamma Mia! (Francis Wilson Playhouse), #25/ The Captain in The Wolves and Mrs. Gottlieb in Dead Man’s Cellphone (University of South Florida), Virginia Woolf in Orlando (USF BRIT program) , and professional voiceover work on a national commercial "#OneUSF" for the University of South Florida. She graduated from University of South Florida with her Bachelor’s in Theatre Performance and continued her study in a musical theatre summer intensive under various accredited instructors of Musiktheater Bavaria, originally based in Germany.


Mac Hawbaker
Mac Hawbaker is excited to be making his American Stage debut. Some of his favorite roles include Adam in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Billy Flynn in Chicago, Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, and Carlo in My Man Godfrey. He would like to thank American Stage and his fellow cast/crew members for making this opportunity a joyous one to remember. He would also like to thank you, the audience, for continuing to support the art of Theatre.


Hailey Hendrickson
Hailey Hendrickson is thrilled to be making her American Stage Park debut! Recent credits include Grease (Cha Cha/Radio Singer), Seussical the Musical (Bird Girl 2/ASL), The Merry Widow (Clou Clou), Singin’ in the Rain (Dance Captain/Female Cover), and Young Frankenstein (Assistant Choreographer). Jessica Jennelle
Jessica Jennelle was most recently seen as Ginette in Almost, Maine at West Coast Players. Other roles include The Laramie Project, Medea, and Laughing Stock, all at St. Petersburg College Arts Dept. She also worked on productions such as Pippin and Into the Woods as a Props Master. She is currently studying at St. Petersburg College finishing up her transfer program to University of South Florida. She would like to thank her family, friends and Remi for the endless love and support throughout the years.


Lea Marinelli
Lea is delighted to be joining the cast of Footloose for the reopening of American Stage in the park. Her most recent credits include Molly Jensen in Ghost The Musical at Theatre West End and young Judy Garland in Babes In Hollywood at the Winter Park Playhouse in central Florida. A native New Yorker, Lea studied at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in NYC. From there she’s been very fortunate to travel & work all over the US, Europe and Middle East. Credits include, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert (UK), Thursford Christmas Spectacular (UK), Lazytown Live! (international tour). She can also be seen dancing in the 2014 film Muppets Most Wanted. In 2017, Lea found a home at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando performing in The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue; Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix Live; Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration; Celestina Warbeck & The Banshees.

Zummy Mohammed is very excited to be in his first production with American Stage. He is very thankful for this opportunity and is excited that Footloose is his first contract as an Actors Equity Association member. He was most recently seen as Tateh in Ragtime at the Arden Theatre Company and Nikos/Carlos/Ensemble in Legally Blonde at The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Other regional credits include: Bobby in A Chorus Line, Racetrack Higgins in Newsies and Rodolpho in Matilda. Zummy received his BFA in Musical Theatre from Temple University in 2019, recently moved to New York to pursue his acting career and is very thankful for this opportunity to work with such talented and hardworking artists. John Perez
John Perez is an actor and singer based in St. Pete, as well as the Education & Engagement Associate at American Stage. He could not be more excited to be making his AS Park debut! Selected favorite credits include: Piragua Guy (In the Heights), Man 2 (Songs for a New World), Che (Evita), Agwe (Once on this Island), Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors), Jake (Evil Dead: The Musical), as well as world premiere readings of El Wiz, The Impossible Escape Of Don Misterioso, and Saudades.


Brandon Rodriguez
Brandon Rodriguez is making his American Stage debut in Footloose and is excited for the opportunity to perform again. Brandon graduated from The University of Tampa with a B.A in Music and a Minor in Theatre and Dance. He was seen in many productions such as Guys and Dolls, Pirates of Penzance and Theory of Relativity. He has also performed in other shows such as La Traviata (Straz Center); and 40 YEARS OF BROADWAY (Carrolwood Players). He's also had the chance to dance with projectALCHEMY Momentum (Studio @620). Emilia Sargent
Emilia Sargent is thrilled to be returning to American Stage. Favorites: Grounded (The Pilot; Best of the Bay and Theatre Tampa Bay awards), Silent Sky (Henrietta Leavitt, TTB award), A Streetcar Named Desire (Blanche DuBois, Best of the Bay), Heisenburg (Georgie), A View from the Bridge (Beatrice Carbone), I do! I do! (Agnes), Metamorphosis (Aphrodite), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), and My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle). SAG/AFTRA member, Emilia has appeared in America’s Most Wanted, 22, and is the spokesperson for Colotraq. M.F.A. in Directing/ Arts Administration from the University of Idaho, she serves as the Producing Artistic Director/CEO of the Tampa Repertory Theatre and runs the Emilia Sargent Studio for Voice and Acting. Her students have soared to premier collegiate programs and professional careers which reach to Broadway. This one is for her girl squad since the 1980s.


Melanie Souza
Melanie Souza is thrilled to be back out in the park after this long hiatus. A native Rhode Islander who now calls Sarasota, FL home, Melanie has graced stages throughout the USA. Troy Wallace
Troy Wallace was most recently seen as Jiff in Kevin Can F*ck Himself on AMC. He was last seen on stage as Fish in The Royale at TheatreSquared. Other regional credits include: John Hunter/Ensemble in Treasure Island (Maine State Music Theatre); George Murchison in A Raisin In The Sun (American Stage Theatre Co); and Sonny In The Heights (Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe). Other Film and TV credits include: Grown Noah in Mandingo (Sundance), Damon in Laugh Now, Cry Later; and Office Jock in Workplace Jargon (Rhino Media). He is a proud member of Actors Equity Association with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University. Donovan Whitney
Donovan Whitney is happy to be returning to American Stage, and to be performing in the park show! Previously he worked at American Stage as an acting and production apprentice, and also as a teaching artist. Florida theater credits include: A Clockwork Orange (Jobsite Theater); Pipeline, Joyful! Joyful! (Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe); Between Riverside and Crazy (American Stage); Evil Dead: The Musical (Stageworks Theatre). Other regional credits include: Prowess (Storefront Theatre of Indianapolis); Jubilee in the Rearview Mirror (Indianapolis Fringe); Paper Swords: A Musical (Indianapolis Fringe); Taming of the Shrew (Catalyst Repertory Theatre).


Jada Austin
is a singer and actress from Clearwater, FL. She is thrilled to be returning to the stage after three years away and making her American stage debut. She was most recently seen as a character performer at ZooTampa as well as a vocalist at Disney’s Candlelight Processional. She would like to thank her family and her boyfriend, Eduardo, for encouraging her to follow her dreams.


Massiel Evans
is a passionate island girl from Nassau, The Bahamas. She recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Acting and Directing from Eastern Connecticut State University along with a film studies minor. While in The Bahamas, Massiel has starred in two local plays and one local bahamian movie. Her first year in undergrad she received the leading role in a main stage production called Chitra. Since then she has starred in four other shows as an actress, two shows as an assistant director for Eastern and for a professional theater company, Spectrum Theater and ended her college career by directing a main stage production called Blood at the Root. She has also written, directed and filmed two small pieces under her film studies minor. She made her American stage debut last year in The Odd Couple as Cecily.


Siobhan Marie Hunter
is thrilled to make her debut at American Stage! Other credits include Diane in [cowboy face] (Dixon Place), Black in The Mis-Education of America (Letter of Marque) and Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show (JCC CenterStage Theater). She received her B.A. in Theater Arts from SUNY Fredonia. Siobhan would like to give special thanks to her Mother, Grandparents, the rest of her family and friends for always uplifting and supporting her work.


Aguel Lual
is a New York based, Nebraska raised actor, and the proud daughter of South Sudanese refugees. Some of her favorite credits include Mash in Stupid F*Cking Bird (Parallel 45) and Ronny in Hair (Nebraska Repertory Theatre).


Phineas Slaton
is a young artist living in Brandon and St. Petersburg. While currently minoring in theatre at Eckerd College, they have been seen at St. Petersburg City Theater with credits such as Corie in Barefoot In The Park, and Sapphi Van Helsing in Dracula: The Vampire Strikes Back. Recent credits include Rafiki in The Lion King, The Resistible Rise Of Arturo Ui, and a directing credit of The Perfect Ending at Howard W. Blake High School of the Arts. Phineas is extremely excited to be joining American Stage with this opportunity and can’t wait to see the show come to life!


Phyllis Yvonne Stickney
was most recently seen in “Shameless” and has performed in over 30 films including “New Jack City,” “What’s Love Got To Do With It?,” “The Inkwell,” “Malcolm X.” However, Theatre is where it all began for Ms. Stickney from Harlem’s New Heritage Theatre to Lincoln Center and the various theatre festivals and events her career spans 40 years. Winning 1st place at the world famous Apollo Theatre is also one of her many accomplishments.
Ms. Stickney was named “one of the 200 African American women who has changed the World”. Comedy or drama Ms. Stickney is comfortable with any genre and aims to bring her best to any role. An AUDELCO AWARD recipient in 1998 Ms. Stickney was inducted into the Black Hall of Fame, in 2006 and various years she received the CUSTODIAN OF THE CULTURAL CONSCIOUSNESS AWARD, C.T.Vivian passed the TORCH OF LEADERSHIP to Ms. Stickney among others. I thank Mr. Maharaj for including me in his vision and I dedicate these performances to my amazing parents.


Ivy Sunflower
has recently been seen as Jenny Rappaport in the featured film "I Need I Want." Additionally as Mom in the comedy film “What Tha Hell," “The Decision” as Belinda, and Shaun in the comedy series “Nothing Else Matters." However, Ms. Sunflower’s first love is the stage. Cassandra in Big Girls Need Love Too (Inkwell Centre), A Conversation With Myself as April (Outcast Theatre Collective), and behind the scenes as the Assistant Director of Dionysus On The Down Low (Outcast Theatre Collective) have been a few. Ivy also teaches improv virtually for beginner performers. She’s working to open up a black box theatre for the community. She received her degree from Broward College and has trained with Robert Nation, A TALE OF TWO CITIES and Daniel Torres, EVITA. Ivy wants to thank her partner Cash, her family and friends for their support in making this dream happen.


Jennifer Leigh Warren
is lauded for her show-stopping Broadway performances as the original Alice’s Daughter in "Big River" (singing “How Blest We Are” written for her by composer Roger Miller), the original Crystal in the Howard Ashman/Alan Menken hit "Little Shop Of Horrors," the original Marie Christine cast and "RENT:Live." "In Power To The People," she made her Disney Concert Hall debut with the LA Philharmonic, appeared in Sir Peter Hall’s Shakespeare Repertory Company, won the Ovation Award in "Hello Again." She also won two BroadwayWorld awards (seven nominations) and her solo concert, “Diamonds Are Forever: Songs of Dame Shirley Bassey” directed by Richard Jay-Alexander. Films include the Martin Scorsese produced/Alison Anders directed “Grace of my Heart,” Sean Penn’s “The Crossing Guard,” Garry Marshall’s “Valentines Day,” “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” Larry David’s “Sour Grapes.” TV: “Pretty Little Liars,” “Lipstick jungle,” “ER,” “Scrubs.” She is a proud Dartmouth College graduate and AEA/SAG-AFTRA member.

Charlotte Quandt
Charlotte's previous American stage productions include Ragtime and acts of faith. She would like to thank Kirsten and American Stage for this opportunity. She would especailly like to thank the designers, crew and all involved with this production. She has enjoyed the process. Charlotte has worked in several local theatres in her over 18 years of stage managing. Hannah Smith Allen
Hannah Smith Allen is a Brooklyn, New York based multi-media artist and designer and an Associate Professor of Photography and Digital Media at Adelphi University. Her artwork has been featured in museums and galleries nationwide and her artist’s books are included in collections maintained by The Brooklyn Museum, Columbia University, UCLA, and Houston Museum of Art. The American Stage’s production of Hedwig and The Angry Inch marks the first time Hannah has worked with a theater, and she is delighted to be part of this production. Luke Cantarella+
Luke Cantarella is excited to be working at American Stage for the first time. He has designed scenery and video for 100s of productions at theaters around the country including The Atlantic Theater, Goodspeed Musicals, Yale Repertory Theater, ART, Seattle Rep, The MUNY, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Sante Fe Opera, The Repertory Theater of St Louis and many more. Upcoming projects include new productions of The Cunning Little Vixen for the Des Moines Metro Opera, Of Mice and Men for the Houston Grand Opera, and the new American opera The Woman with Eyes Closed for the Pittsburgh Opera. Luke co-designed the US National Exhibit for the Prague Quadriennial in 2023. Recent film and television projects include Jules, Call Jane, Players, The Plot Against America and The Summer I Turned Pretty. Kirsten Kelly
Kirsten is an award-winning theater director, educator and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker. She is thrilled to be back in the theater again working with so many former collaborators after spending the past several years in the documetary field directing/producing social issue films. Kirsten has worked with American Stage Artistic Director Helen Murray on several productions in DC, including the Helen Hayes nominated BIG LOVE. Her theater work has been seen Off-Broadway, regionally and in Chicago where she co-founded CPS! Shakespeare, an innovative education program partnering Chicago Shakespeare and Chicago Public Schools (National Arts & Humanites Youth Award presented by Michelle Obama). Her recent films include This Is Where I Learned Not To Sleep, the Emmy-winning film, The Homestretch (PBS), and Golden Telly-Award winning digital series Healing the Healers, which examines multi-faith leader responses after mass shootings, domestic violence and the youth mental health crisis. Other Films include: The Girl with the Rivet Gun (animated short, AmDoc 2020; FDR Presidential Library), Stranger/Sister (UK InterFaith Week, 2020); Asparagus! Stalking the American Life (2008, PBS). Her projects have been supported by MacArthur, Sundance, ITVS, Kartemquin Films, Good Pitch, Bertha Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Chicago Media Project, Chicken and Egg, among others. She is a Graduate of The Juilliard School and lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son and overly active Belgian Malinois.

Bob Kuhn
Bob is pleased to be making his American Stage Theater debut. He is a Chicago based costume designer, where he recently won the Equity Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Costume Design (midsize theater) for his production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at The Mercury Theater - Chicago. Other favorite Chicago designs include Hair (Equity Jeff Nomination), Company and Rock of Ages (The Mercury Theater - Chicago), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Non-Equity Jeff Nomination), Working and Sondheim Tribute Revue (Theo Ubique Cabaret Theater), White Christmas (Drury Lane Theatre), SS! Jimmy is a Scorpio, father, cat owner, and a music enthusiast, who enjoys scotch and bourbon. He only runs when chased. Leah Plante-Wiener
Originally from Montreal, Canada, Leah is a New York-based playwright and performer currently pursuing her MFA in playwriting at Columbia University. Showings of Leah’s work include Bonefruit at The Tank, the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, and Playwrights Horizons Theatre School; Process Play at 938 Collective; Clothmommy, Wiremommy at Columbia University; and Tilly Birdbones at The Road Theatre’s Summer Playwrights Festival. Leah’s work has also been produced through Soho Playhouse, the Chain Theatre, SUNY Purchase, Round the Bend, We Who Wander, and the Broke People Play Festival. Upcoming projects include Warm Science (The Brick, ?! New Works Festival), Gutbelly (Columbia University) and a reading of Bonefruit (American Stage, Fresh Ink). Anthony Gervais
Anthony Gervais is a St. Pete native actor, director, and writer. Most recently, he directed a production of Every Brilliant Thing, which first played at The Studio@620 and was then re-mounted by The Off-Central Players. Other credits include The Last Five Years (Off-Central), Forsythian Dweller’s Club (Bittersweet Arts Company), and The Joy of Life (New Ground Theatre), which he also wrote and devised with his cast. As an actor, he was last seen at American Stage in White Rabbit Red Rabbit and as Harry Houdini in Ragtime. Anthony is an artist in residence at The Studio@620, and proudly holds a BFA from The Boston Conservatory. Love and thanks to his family, Dylan, and Lara.

Kenny Moten
Kenny Moten is a director, vocalist, and writer. He is the co/creator of The Bright Lights of Denver (DCPA Off-Center), director and co/producer of Motones & Jerseys (National Tour). Other directing credits: Toni Stone (Aurora Fox Arts Center), Dreamgirls (Lone Tree Arts Center) Miss Rhythm (Denver Center for the Performing Arts), and Beauty and the Beast (Arvada Center). Jeremy D. Silverman
Jeremy D. Silverman is an award-winning songwriter, composer, arranger, and musical director, with music that spans genres from choral/orchestral to pop/rock to musical theatre. His professional experience includes music for film, television, theme parks, radio, and theatre. Jeremy received a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida, in the studio of Annetta Y. Monroe. He also received a Masters of Music in choral/orchestral conducting under the baton of Maestro Robert Summer. As a professional keyboardist and vocalist, Mr. Silverman has performed with bands, orchestras, and ensembles the world-over, as well as produce and play on numerous studio sessions and recordings. He is published by Colla Voce, Inc., and MusicSpoke. In 2014, Jeremy made his piano performance debut at Carnegie Hall, New York City. Chloe Dipaola
Chloe Dipaola has been involved with American Stage since 2018. She feels incredibly grateful to have been a part of their 2022/2023 Season as the Production Stage Manager on American Idiot, The Colored Museum, Crimes of the Heart, Ragtime, and Disgraced. She feels fortunate to be back at American Stage for their 2023/2024 Season, where she kicked off with Indecent, White Rabbit Red Rabbit, and The Chinese Lady. Chloe is a local dedicated SM around the areas of Tampa, St.Pete, Sarasota, and Clearwater. She hopes you enjoy your evening as you sing along with us to a tale as old as time!

Dean Wick
Dean recently also created props for Footloose (American Stage Theater Company) and has been engaged to provide scenic design, properties or scenic painting for local theater organizations such as St. Petersburg Opera, Early Bird Dinner Theater, St. Pete City Theater, and Gulfport Community Players.

Jessica Stevens
Jessica Stevens is a New York based multidisciplinary designer, delighted to be celebrating American Stage in the Park with you all. Previous lighting work includes Acts of Faith and American Idiot with American Stage, Think Tank Dance (The Tank), and Love's Labour's Lost, The Musical (Webster University). With additional experience in scenery, wigs, architectural lighting, and graphic design, her support has been seen on productions at Primary Stages, The Muny, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Repertory Theatre St. Louis, Utah Shakespeare Festival, The Sheen Center, Variety Theatre St. Louis, KC Starlight, An Officer and a Gentleman (First National Tour), and residential lighting, interior, and furniture design projects. Additionally, she provides graphic design and administrative support for K. Jordan Theatrical and is a Level 1 certified USA Archery Instructor. B.F.A. Lighting Design, Peter Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.

Sarah Berland

Avianna Meck
Avianna Meck, Master Electrician for American Stage's Beauty and the Beast, brings a diverse expertise in lighting, electrical theory, rigging, and management. Graduating in Theatrical Lighting Design from the University of New Mexico in 2010, she began her career with Broadway's Rock of Ages third national tour as Head Electrician, later joining Peter and The Starcatcher's second national tour. Avianna's skills extend to events like festivals, corporate meetings, and live shows, including notable performances by Seven Lions, Kings of Leon, Haim, Korn, Stevie Nicks, Gladys Knight, and The Florida Orchestra. She is honored to be part of the American Stage production team and the success of Beauty and the Beast. Enjoy the show!

Sarah Stark
Ms. Stark is excited to return to American Stage, her designs were last seen on the stage here with Seven Mammoths Wander New England. Ms. Stark most recently designed Natasha, Pierre &The Great Comet of 1812 for the Arvada Center. Other design credits include: All Shook Up, West Side Story, Steel Magnolias, Kiss Me Kate, Into the Woods, Berlin To Broadway, The Wild Party, Titus Andronicus, Threepenny Opera, Tick, Tick, Boom… and The Quest for Don Quixote. Costume Design assistant: Netflix’s The Social Dilemma. Wardrobe Supervisor: Ghosts of Versailles (Château de Versailles & Glimmerglass Opera). Howard Ashman
Best known as a pivotal creative mind behind the renaissance of Disney animation and his work on The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast (which is dedicated to, "Our friend, Howard Ashman, who gave a Mermaid her voice and a Beast his soul...") Ashman's first love was theater. Ashman was a founder of off off Broadway's renowned WPA Theater, where he conceived, wrote and directed God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, as well as the classic musical, Little Shop of Horrors (both music by Alan Menken). In 1986, he wrote and directed the Broadway musical Smile (music by Marvin Hamlisch). Lamented as a lost treasure of the 1980's theater scene, Smile remains popular on High School and College campuses throughout the country. Howard Ashman died in 1991 from complications of AIDS. Robin Wallace
Robin is a staff assistant lighting designer at the Lighting Design Group in New York and has worked on numerous broadcast and studio lighting projects with the LDG team. Theatrical credits include Green Day's American Idiot (Assistant Lighting Designer, American Stage), Fahrenheit 451 (Lighting Designer, Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts), A Christmas Story assisting the late Peter Sargent (The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), and many collaborations with Lighting Designer Jessica Stevens. Robin holds a B.F.A. in Lighting Design from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. Much love to the motorcycle gang and the PTA.

Matthew Nall
Matthew is excited to be back involved with musical theater. He has been in professional live sound for over 20 years. Theater credits include associate sound designer and mixer on The Wiz (Actor's theater of Louisville); Little Shop Of Horrors (Stage One); Annie (National Tour); Young Frankenstein (Broadway/National Tour); La Cage Aux Follies (Broadway/National Tour). He left touring and moved to Tampa to get married and start a family and his career shifted to the music side of the business. He now works as a production manager and/or FOH mixer for several national artist including Ambrosia, Saleka, Trombone Shorty, Gym Class Heroes, Starship, All-4-one, and more. Matthew is excited to be back in the world of musical theater and excited to bring his experience to his new home in Tampa Bay.

Meyah Fortier
Meyah is grateful to be back in the park working with American Stage. She recently finished a Production and Company Management Fellowship with the theater, where she served as Assistant Stage Manager on productions such as Ragtime, La Gringa, Disgraced, among others. Some of her previous work includes Stage Managing Three Sisters, Clyde’s and Miss Julie with the Asolo Conservatory. She would like to thank the staff and production team for making this show happen!

Linda Woolverton
Linda Woolverton's writing credits include the screenplay for the animated feature film BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Golden Globe winner and Academy Award Best Picture nominee); the screenplay (shared) for HOMEWARD BOUND: THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY; screenplay (shared) for the animated feature film THE LION KING; the book for the Broadway musical BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical, winner 1998 Olivier Award Best New Musical); and book (shared) for Elton John and Tim Rice's Broadway musical AIDA. Also she has written two young-adult novels, STAR-WIND and RUNNING BEFORE THE WIND. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from California State University Long Beach and a Master's degree in Theatre from California State University Fullerton. Linda is currently involved in writing and producing film projects for Miramax and Revolution studios. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Lee Flicker and daughter Keaton.

Jessica Hindsley
Jessica most recently choreographed Cinderella for the Arvada Center and Fiddler on the Roof for BDT Stage in Colorado. This will be her sixth year working as a choreographer for Manhattan Creative Group under the incredible direction of Joey Wartnercheney. She also choreographed and co-produced the National Tour of Motones & Jerseys in Concert as well as the NY Concert Performance (54 Below) and Colorado premier of In the Trenches. In 2021, Jessica co-wrote and directed The Bright Lights of Denver, an original theatrical concept for The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (available on Apple Podcasts). Outside the theatre walls, she collaborates with event producers, bands and entertainment firms to create custom shows and choreography for clients across the globe. Tim Rice
Tim Rice has worked in music, theater, and film since 1965, when he met Andrew Lloyd Webber, a fellow struggling songwriter. Rather than pursue Tim's ambitions to write rock or pop songs, they turned their attention to Andrew's obsession - musical theater. Their first collaboration, The Likes Of Us (lyrics by Tim, music by Andrew), was an unsuccessful show based on the life of Dr. Barnardo, the Victorian philanthropist. Their next three works together were much more successful: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Evita. Tim has also worked with other distinguished popular composers such as Elton John (The Lion King, Aida), Alan Menken (Aladdin, King David, Beauty and the Beast), and Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson (Chess). From Here to Eternity, with music by newcomer Stuart Brayson, coproduced with Lee Menzies, directed by Tamara Harvey, and with book by Bill Oakes, premiered in the West End at the Shaftesbury Theatre in 2013. He formed his own cricket team in 1973 and was president of the MCC in 2002. In 2013, he wrote and presented a 52-part series for BBC Radio 2, American Pie, a trawl through the music and musicians of every American State. He has won several awards, mainly for the wrong thing or for simply turning up.

Jessica Cancino
Jessica is a Venezuelan multidisciplinary artist with a background in scenic design, scenic art, sculpture, and art installation. Dylan Barlowe
Dylan Barlowe is an Actor, Director and Fight Choreographer in the Tampa Bay area. Dylan is a St. Pete native with a BA in Theatre from Columbia College Chicago. He is proud to be back with American Stage after recently directing The Diaries of Adam and Eve as part of the Tales By Twilight Series. Dylan is an Artist-In-Residence at The Studio@620 and a member of American Stage's Beyond The Stage Acting Company. Some other local acting credits include: White Rabbit Red Rabbit (American Stage), Every Brilliant Thing (Studio@620 & Off-Central Players), Decolonizing Your Mind With Walter Mercado (American Stage) and an original show which Barlowe co-created, A Haunted Cabaret (Off-Central Players). Helen R. Murray
Helen R. Murray is an award-winning playwright and director, the outgoing Executive Producer for the Aurora Fox Arts Center, and the former Artistic Director of the Hub Theatre in Virginia. Her original plays have been produced by the Hub Theatre, Theatre Alliance, ArtsWest, Malibu Playhouse, the JCC of Northern Virginia and have been seen at the Kennedy Center’s Page to Stage Festival; she continues to mentor for the Writer's Guild Initiative out of NYC. She has directed across the country including Malibu Playhouse, The Hub Theatre, The Aurora Fox, Montgomery College, Spooky Action Theatre, and the Kennedy Center P2S. In addition to her roles offstage, Helen has worked as an actor in many Washington, D.C. area theaters, including Folger Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, Theatre J, Forum Theatre, Theatre Alliance, Rorschach Theatre, Keegan Theatre, the Inkwell, the Source Festival, and the Beckett Centenary Festival. Helen has also appeared in numerous independent films and commercials. Her co-adaptation of Wonderful Life earned her a Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding New Play, and her original play, Abominable, was nominated for the national Steinberg New Play Award. She is also the recipient of the Puffin Foundation Award for Outstanding Emerging Artist, the Washington Canadian Partnership Award for Leadership in the Arts, and her play Redder Blood won the Jewish Playwriting Contest.

Erica Sutherlin
Filmmaker and Theatrical Director, Erica Sutherlin, holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production from University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Ms. Sutherlin made her directorial debut with the Lifetime Movie network’s #1 Christmas movie, “Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas”. This is her second feature following “Stratosphere", in which she directed and co-wrote. Before her appointment as director, Ms. Sutherlin was selected for the Lifetime Network’s Director Shadow program, held a fellowship with the Blackhouse Foundation Sundance Fellows program and was a recipient of Facebook’s SEEN initiative for black filmmakers. Currently, Ms. Sutherlin is a recipient of the Creative Pinellas Individual Artist Recovery Grant for film, and is a fellow for the Advancing Racial Equity on Non-Profit Boards class of 2022. As a writer, currently, Ms. Sutherlin is writing narrative features with Village Roadshow and the UK based production company, iGeneration Studios. She was a writer for the newly released and multiple award-winning film, “Voodoo Macbeth", which was produced through Warner Brothers and University of Southern California. As a USC Showrunner, she developed, wrote, and produced the sitcom, “Unschooled”, with a wonderful team of writers. Ms. Sutherlin concluded her time at USC in the writer’s room, developing, writing, and producing the short form limited dramatic series,Sugar Land. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Ms. Sutherlin began theatrically directing. For the past 20 years, she has directed numerous plays and musicals. Recently, Ms. Sutherlin received stellar reviews for her productions of Pass Over by Antoinette Nwandu, Dutchman by LeRoi Jones/Amir, Baraka and the musical, The Color Purple by Marsha Norman. As a poet and essayist, Ms. Sutherlin has published works in Building Womanist Coalitions: Writing and Teaching in the Spirit of Love and Hooked on the Art of Love: bell hooks and My Calling for Soul-Work, works by Dr. Gary Lemons, professor of English at University of South Florida. Amongst her talents as a writer-director, Ms. Sutherlin is an equity actress and arts educator who has performed and taught nationally and internationally. Other notable awards and citations included: the Shriram Family Fellowship, Jean & Ruth Negulesco Endowment Fellowship, the Director’s Citation and the NSHSS Nobel Educator of Distinction Award. Her theatre company, The Space, was awarded Tampa Bay’s Theatre on the Rise. Ms. Sutherlin has been featured in numerous newspapers, magazine, radio shows and digital media source platforms for her performances, writing and directing accolades.

Patrick A. Jackson
Patrick Arthur Jackson is a creative multi-hyphenate with a passion for community connection through storytelling. He is the Associate Artistic Producer at American Stage, where he oversees new play development and casting. Patrick most recently served as the Assistant Director/Choreographer for the production of The Colored Museum at American Stage. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Morehouse College, has studied with the British American Drama Academy and is an alumnus of the Florida Studio Theatre Acting Apprentice Program. Regional Performance Credits: Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol (American Stage), It’s A Wonderful Life (American Stage), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Jobsite Theatre), Gloria (Mad Cow Theatre), A Raisin In The Sun (American Stage), White Rabbit/Red Rabbit (Urbanite Theatre), Alice With A Twist (Florida Studio Theatre). Off-stage, Patrick is the host of The Black Hand Side Podcast, Minister of Multimedia for Today’s Church Tampa Bay and is a 2023 Creative Pinellas Emerging Artist. Patrick is a proud member of Actor’s Equity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He is a proud son of Cynthia Belinda and Patrick D. Alexa Perez
As this season’s Artistic Fellow, Alexa has been developing her skills as a director and casting associate. She received her B.A. in Performing Arts from the University of Tampa and while she has been an actress for most of her professional career, she is thrilled to be spending more time on the other side of the table. Past directorial credits at American Stage include Cinderella Eats Rice and Beans (Assistant Director). Past acting credits at American Stage include Romeo and Juliet in America (Juliet u/s, perf.), Steel Magnolias (Shelby), and The Polar Bear Society (Moxie). She would like to thank Patrick and Erica for all of their mentorship and encouragement, her family for all of their love and support, and John for his work building this set (love you, mean it) and for pushing her to keep going. Alexa dedicates her work on this production to her Abuela.
Dalton Hamilton
Dalton works around the country as a designer, associate, and programmer. His work has been seen on stage at the following Regional Theaters: Bay Street Theater, Gulfshore Playhouse, Tuacahn Amphitheatre, Ogunquit Playhouse, Nashville Rep, FreeFall Theatre, American Stage, and City Springs Theatre Company. Dalton has also been an Associate Designer for numerous theme park shows at Busch Gardens Williamsburg under Lighting Designer Ken Billington for the past 8 years. Other credits include The Prince of Egypt (US Assistant, West End) with LD Mike Billings, and Rogers: The Musical, “Hawkeye Series” (Marvel Studios: Disney+) with LD Mike Wood. Latoya McCormick
Latoya McCormick is happy to be involved in her first production with American Stage. She is the choral/musical theater director at Tarpon Springs High School. She recently won Theater Tampa Bay's outstanding musical director for Crowns at the Straz. Other musical direction credits include Frozen, Sweeney Todd, Memphis, Shrek, Grease, and 9 to 5 just to name a few. She was recently seen on stage as the church lady in a production of The Color Purple at Stageworks Theater. Other favorite roles include Amelia in Ain’t Misbehavin’, Rusty in Footloose, The Dragon in Shrek, and Roz in 9 to 5. Thanks to Eileen Mattioli and Robert MacDonald for teaching me everything I know about piano. Thanks to Erica for inviting me to come play! Heather Beal
Heather Beal is a dancer, actress, director and choreographer who received her B.A. in dance from Columbia College Chicago and her MFA in Dance from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a certified Dunham Technique Instructor. She has toured around the United States and France teaching and performing Dunham Technique. She has performed in many productions at The Black Rep and several productions at the St. Louis MUNY. She has choreographed Dontrell, Who Kissed The Sea (Nebraska Rep) Feeding Beatrice (The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis), First Date (University of Southern Indiana), Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Me Nobody Knows, Rivers of Women, Le Freak C’est Chic, Purlie, and Dreamgirls (The Black Rep). She is best known for her work #triggerwarning and Black AF, a dance critique of police brutality against Black folx in America.
Teresa L. Williams
Teresa L. Williams originally from New Orleans, LA, is a designer currently based in New York City and a recent graduate of NYU Grad Design program. Teresa thrives in collaborative environments, creating rich, honest work with deep roots. Her hope is to design sets that will connect with others on an emotional level while simultaneously providing an outlet for enjoyment. Recent design work includes: The Dutchman (American Stage Theater), The Evolution of Henry Mann (American Theatre Group), Queens Girl in the World (Abingdon Theatre Company), Slave Play (Short North Stage). Teresa also recently worked as the associate set designer for the new Broadway musical Kimberly Akimbo
Michaela Dougherty
Michaela is a St. Pete born Florida native and a Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School alumni. She holds a degree in Theatre and Fine Art Painting from the University of Central Florida and currently lives and works in New York City as a freelance scenic artist. She thanks her family and Erica Sutherlin for never allowing her to sit on her gifts.

Erica Sutherlin
Erica Sutherlin is humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to direct The Dutchman, an important piece of literature. She is also grateful for opening doors for marginalized communities as the first woman of color to direct at American Stage. Erica comes from an extensive background in arts and education and is currently the Artist in Residence at Studio@620 in St Petersburg. She started in the arts with acting, then added theatrical directing to her resume, and now is a writer/director in television and film. She was a teacher at Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) at Gibbs High School for nine years, and received her MFA at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Some of her favorite theatrical directing credits: Pass Over (Studio@620), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (The Space at 2106), Ain’t Misbehavin’ (Stageworks), Memphis, The Musical (City Theatre), and Polaroid Stories (PCCA). A recent performance credit she is proud of is Lady Macbeth in Voodoo Macbeth (Studio@620). Film and television credits include “Stratosphere,” “Voodoo MacBeth,” “Unschooled,” “SUGAR LAND,”and most recently “Kirk Franklin’s A Gospel Christmas” (Lifetime). Sutherlin is also an accomplished essayist and poet with published works in “Building Womanist Coalitions: Writing and Teaching in the Spirit of Love” and “Hooked on the Art of Love: bell hooks and My Calling for Soul-Work.” Erica would like to give thanks to her family, her village, and God.
Patrick Arthur Jackson
Patrick is the son of Cynthia and Patrick D. Jackson with a passion for cultivating community through the art of storytelling. He is an alumnus of Morehouse College, and has studied with the British American Drama Academy. As an artist & creative, Mr. Jackson has performed, taught and led programming with a variety of theatres and arts organizations in the southeastern United States. Select Performance Credits: Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol (American Stage), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Jobsite Theatre), Gloria (Mad Cow Theatre), A Raisin in the Sun (American Stage), Androcles and the Lion (Florida Studio Theatre). His newest ventures as an Associate Artistic Producer at American Stage, allows him to fully engage with the community through support/direction of the company's artistic programming, collaborate with artists and oversee the theatre's casting department. Teresa Williams

Alexander Jones
Alexander Jones, founder and artistic director of the downtown St. Pete international non profit dance company projectALCHEMY, is a graduate of University of South Florida, recent MFA graduate Hollins University studying dance. A native Floridian, Jones is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and has performed for 13 years for Walt Disney World. Community and collaboration are at the forefront of Jones’s dance works with the company, as well as in and around St. Pete. He serves as the Dance Artists in Residence at the Studio@620, assisting in dance programming alongside Bob Devin Jones. Recently, Jones has been appointed Dance Specialist for the Rusche Dance Studio at The Pruitt Arts Education Center at WADA, where he helps to program dance classes and workshops for movers of all ages and ensure that local dance artists have access to affordable rehearsal space to create work and continue their movement practices.
Om Jae
Om is a Guyanese-American Artist born in New York, currently residing in Atlanta. Former Assistant Artistic Director and Resident Acting Coach of a SoFlo Theatre for the past five years, he has since then resigned to branch out to full-time performing and Fight/Intimacy Direction. Current member with the Society of American Fight Directors, he was recently humbled with their ‘Best Performer Award’ at their 2021 NSCW, and since then has catalyzed his training and choreographing across the country by working with some of the most renowned names in the industry. He is honored for American Stage to have him on this project, and thanks them for their pioneering Intimacy Direction by utilizing their expertise and continuing to grow their art to new and exciting levels. Om is humbled to do what he does and aims for his art to “provide an escape for those who are unable to free themselves”. He thanks his mentors Dan Granke and Ashley White, as well his partner Lucy, and most of all his mom - for being his biggest inspirations.
Natalie Burton
Natalie is delighted to make her American Stage debut! Other credits include Tribes (LePetit Theater); Noises Off (LePetit Theater); A New Brain (Front Porch Theater); and Louie (Outcast Café). Recently she has designed and created gowns for the Miss USA pageants. Natalie has an M.F.A.in Costume Design from Carnegie Mellon University.
Aaron Muhl
Aaron is originally from Sarasota, FL and has over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. He holds a B.F.A. in Theatrical Design and Technology from the University of Central Florida and is currently the Production Manager for Charlotte Ballet. Aaron has spent most of his career designing for ballet and dance. He was the Sarasota Ballet’s resident lighting designer and supervisor for over a decade and designed over 70 one-act and full-length ballets. His work has been seen at The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, Jacob's Pillow and The Kennedy Center. Universally acclaimed designs include Will Tuckett's Changing Light and Lux Aeterna, Christopher Wheeldon's The American, and Sir Peter Wright's Summertide. Other credits and collaborations include Mark Morris Dance Group, The Wooster Group, and Mikhail Baryshnikov. He is completing a M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Memphis this fall.
Boyzell Hosey
Boyzell is a visual storyteller specializing in photography and journalism. He is the senior editor for visual storytelling at ProPublica and is the former Director of Photography for the Tampa Bay Times. He has exhibited locally with Your Real Stories, Studio@620 and Creative Pinellas. He serves on the boards of University of Florida Journalism Advisory Council, National Press Photographers Association, Journeys in Journalism, and the Photo Technology Advisory Board of St. Petersburg College. He serves as a mentor for Men in the Making - a progressive initiative focusing on the wellbeing of minority males. Hosey is co-founder of the Tampa Bay Collard Green Festival – an annual, nonprofit event designed to inspire the community to live healthier by focusing on culinary experiences, urban agriculture, fitness and family fun. He resides in St. Petersburg with his wife, Andrida, a local theater educator and actor.

Massiel Evans
is a passionate island girl from Nassau, The Bahamas. She recently received her Bachelor’s degree in Acting and Directing from Eastern Connecticut State University along with a film studies minor. While in The Bahamas, Massiel has starred in two local plays and one local bahamian movie. Her first year in undergrad she received the leading role in a main stage production called Chitra. Since then she has starred in four other shows as an actress, two shows as an assistant director for Eastern and for a professional theater company, Spectrum Theater and ended her college career by directing a main stage production called Blood at the Root. She has also written, directed and filmed two small pieces under her film studies minor. She made her American stage debut last year in The Odd Couple as Cecily.
Saawan Tiwari
Saawan Tiwari is a Manhattan-based costume designer and graduate of the University of Michigan. They also teach through Roundabout Theatre Company and Big Green Theater. Selected credits - Bruise and Thorn (Pipeline Theatre Company), Far From Canterbury (Barnstormers Theatre), Prospect Hill (Piper Theatre), and Yerma (University of Michigan). Saawan is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ and AAPI communities.
Shain Stroff
Shain has been part of the Park Production creative team since 2016 and counts Footloose as his 5th American Stage Park production. He directed and choreographed Hairspray, choreographed and associate-directed Mamma Mia!, and choreographed Spamalot and The Producers. He won the Theatre Tampa Bay award for outstanding choreography for Spamalot and was nominated for outstanding choreography on all the Park productions he has choreographed. Shain recently produced, directed, and choreographed The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Seussical at The Alhambra Theatre. Regional direction/choreography credits include Mame (freeFall Theatre, Saint Petersburg), Rock Odyssey (Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami), Pippin (Show Palace Theatre, Hudson), A Christmas Carol, and many others (Alhambra Theatre, Jacksonville). Shain has been on the production team at the Alhambra Theatre for the past five years, where he has choreographed over 25 productions and currently serves as the associate producer and resident choreographer. He resides in Jacksonville with his partner Nicolas Feyaerts, and two beautiful rescue dogs Nadia and Sammie. His direction and choreography work has been honored with several awards and nominations throughout the state of Florida. This year marks Shain’s 22nd year in the business. He is also a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association. Much love and thanks to Nicolas and his family in the Saint Louis area.

Douglas Cox
Douglas Cox is an award winning designer for theater, television, opera, music and architecture. He is delighted to be making his American Stage Company debut. He is no stranger to outdoor productions, having lit ABC’s Good Morning America Summer Concert Series in Central Park for over ten seasons, featuring such artists as Taylor Swift, the Backstreet Boys, Dierks Bentley, Demi Lovato and the Broadway casts of Hair and Rent. Recent projects include Rebel Theater’s Mother Emanuel (Best Musical, NY Fringe Festival), Little Rock (Passage Theater), The Wiz (Arkansas Rep), Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare and Co.), Rigoletto (Baltimore Opera), Aida, Macbeth and Othello (Syracuse Opera) and Peony Pavilion (Metropolitan Museum of Art). His television design work includes Good Morning America, Sesame Street, and NBA on TNT, among many others. He also specializes in the design of Energy Efficient Theaters and Television Studios, most recently the Studios for New Jersey Public Television. He received an Emmy Award for NBC’s 2012 Election Night coverage and the Lumen Award for Architectural Lighting.
Jerid Fox
After attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where he studied Film Production with an emphasis in Art Direction, he put his knack for imitation and improvisation to use at Disneyland Resort’s entertainment department. He then moved to Florida, where he has worked as a Scenic Designer, Properties Master, and Scenic Dresser for many popular Tampa Bay theatres and universities.

Jose most recently served as the Music Director for My 80-Year-Old Boyfriend at Arizona Theatre Company. Other regional credits include: Lookingglass Alice (Baltimore Center Stage); Fall Springs (Barrington Stage Company); Snow Child, OKLAHOMA!, and The Music Man (Arena Stage); Peter & the Starcatcher and Newsies (Connecticut Repertory Theatre); Man of La Mancha (Shakespeare Theatre Company); and Gypsy (Virginia Repertory Theatre). New York credits include the Broadway productions of LESTAT and the revival of A Chorus Line, and concerts for the National Asian Artists Project. In 2019, he was inducted into the Southeastern Theatre Conference Hall of Fame, and just completed his 28th year as the pianist for the SETC Professional Division auditions. He also plays regularly for the Unified Professional Theatre Auditions, Virginia Theatre Association, and Disney Parks and Cruise Line. He is a proud graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.
Rachel Harrison
Now in her 9th season with American Stage, Footloose marks Rachel’s 5th Park production serving as Production Stage Manager. A Florida-based Stage Manager and Sound Designer, Rachel includes among her favorites with American Stage Two Trains Running, Itman Painters, The Royale, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, Jitney, A Raisin In the Sun, Pipeline, Silent Sky, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Fun Home, Vietgone, and Skeleton Crew. Rachel also functions as the "chief problem solver” for Your Real Stories Inc., a storytelling company committed to talking across differences through theatrical journalism; and provides production support for numerous projects with JNL Media to tell stories in the digital visual media of video and streaming television. Rachel serves as the Eastern Region Director of the Stage Managers' Association and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and USITT.
Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj
is a multi-disciplinary American Theater Artist, Administrator, and Activist. Mr. Maharaj was twice hailed in The New York Times as a Critics Pick for his work in the American Theater and a member of the BIPOC Leadership Circle. He is currently the Producing Artistic Director and Resident Playwright of American Stage.
Mr. Maharaj has been honored with many awards including the prestigious Woodie King Jr. Award, four Vivian Robinson AUDELCO Awards, Barrymore Award, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society Theatrical Moment of the Year, The New York International Fringe Festival Overall Excellence Award, Theater Communications Group Directors Grant and Playwriting Grant, Recipient of the 2020 National Alliance for Musical Theater Fifteen-Minute Musical Theater Challenge Award.
As a storyteller, Mr. Maharaj has worked on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and at many of our nation’s top Regional Theaters including the Bernard B. Jacobs, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, The Public, Second Stage Theatre, Soho Playhouse, Classical Theater of Harlem, , Nuyorican Poets Café, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Lark Play Development Center, Actors Theater of Louisville, Goodman Theater, The Kennedy Center, and Arkansas Repertory Theater.
Mr. Maharaj’s was a finalist for the 2021 Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. And he is the recipient of the 2021 Negro Ensemble Company Cutting Edge Playhouse Playwriting Residency.

Dan is a Director, Fight Director, Intimacy Director, and Movement Specialist based in Tampa, Fl. Fight Direction Credits include: Vietgone, Long Days Journey into Night, Bad Jews, and The Invisible Hand (American Stage), Sender, Dyke, and Dry land (Urbanite Theatre), Romeo and Juliet, Jekyll and Hyde, and As You Like it (Jobsite) Neighbors, Assassins, and No6 (Studio at Tierra Del Sol) Dearly Departed and The Piano Lesson (Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe). They are a Certified Fight Director with the Society of American Fight Directors and are a Certified Intimacy Director with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators.

Hannah Hockman
recently graduated from Eckerd College with BA in Theatre with minors in Marketing and Music. She has spent two summers studying in New York City with The Atlantic Acting School and The Circle in the Square Conservatory. Her favorite roles include the lead role in Feinstein’s/54 Below concert of CALL IT IN THE AIR and Steve in SHE KILLS MONSTERS. She recently made her directorial debut with HEATHERS THE MUSICAL, Eckerd’s first student run musical. Hannah is excited to work with American Stage and to continue to grow as an artist.
Saidah Ben Judah
Through Saidah's long association with the New York Shakespeare Festival/ Joseph Papp Theater, she has worked with fine actors such as Vanessa Redgrave, Patrick Stewart, Peter Dinklage, Christopher Walken, Jeffrey White, Jimmie Smits to name a few. She designed the August Wilson Century Cycle for American Stage and numerous productions for the Studio@620 including Voodoo MacBeth.
Kelli Karen
Kelli is excited to be part of the creative team of School Girls. Kelli has taught and created outreach theatre programs at Care Pointes in Swaziland, South Africa, Girls Incorporated and The Boys and Girls Club in Sarasota, Florida. She has taught playwriting classes at numerous elementary schools in Sarasota County as well as Dunfermline, Scotland. Harlan D. Penn
is a graduate of Florida A & M University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. The South Florida native has designed for off-Broadway, Off Off Broadway, cable television, regional theatre, and educational theatre. Design credits include: For Colored Girls, Blues For An Alabama Sky, On Striver's Row, Flyin' West, Dreamgirls, Seven Guitars, Gem Of The Ocean, Jitney, Radio Golf, King Hedley Ii, Chained Dog, Drumline Live (International tour), The Mighty Gents, Camp Logan, Buried Child, Looking, Catch Me If You Can, and The Life And Adventures Of Nicholas Nickleby to name a few. In addition, Mr. Penn is a member of the Theatre Arts faculty at Howard University where he teaches Scenic Design. Harlan is thrilled to be a part of this production at American Stage.
Shelby Smotherman
Shelby is thrilled to join American Stage for her 6th season. She works in a variety of specialties including carpentry, painting, & properties, in addition to working as an A/V technician and stage manager. Shortly after beginning her career, she received her Master of Fine Arts from Stetson University’s interdisciplinary & experimental Creative Writing program. Some of Shelby’s scenic credits as Properties Designer include The Odd Couple, Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol (American Stage); Little Women, The Arsonists, 9 To 5 (University of Tampa); and as Charge Artist Skeleton Crew, Vietgone, Silent Sky, Fun Home, Tartuffe, (American Stage); A Macbeth, Sondheim On Sondheim (University of Tampa); Madama Butterfly (St. Petersburg Opera). Some of her favorite credits include scenic artist for Spamalot (American Stage in the Park), Good People (American Stage); lighting designer for Masquerade (Carrollwood Cultural Center); properties designer for Sordid Lives (University of Tampa), and stage manager for Underneath The Freeways Of Los Angeles (Echo Theater).
Paul Edward Wilt
is a non-binary, LGBTQ+ artist, administrator, and activist who specializes in theater, music, and sound design/music production. They served as Artistic Associate for Rebel Theater Company, and producer for productions regionally in Brooklyn, and Off-Broadway. They are also an editor for the acclaimed show, “Sunday Civics,” on Sirius XM Radio.
They have collaborated with many prestigious organizations including Milwaukee Repertory Theater, NASA, Yale University, The Kennedy Center, Stand Up to Cancer, Playbill, and the Brooklyn NAACP.
Paul has received many prestigious awards for their work including the 2020 NAMT Musical Theater Award, Silver Medal Recipient for the Classical Singer National Vocal Competition, and a BBC News Feature for composition.
Jessica Jennelle
was most recently seen as Ginette in ALMOST, MAINE at West Coast Players. Other roles include THE LARAMIE PROJECT, MEDEA, and LAUGHING STOCK all at St. Petersburg College Arts Dept. She also worked on productions such as PIPPIN and INTO THE WOODS as a Props Master. She is currently studying at St. Petersburg College finishing up her transfer program to University of South Florida.
