Ginger Poole is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and an Associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union. She has studied, taught, choreographed, and performed throughout the U.S. over the past 30 years. Ginger has worked with the N.F.L. and The Atlanta Falcons as their director and choreographer, the youngest to be hired in this position in the NFL. She was also one of the first Pro-Bowl Representatives.
Ginger currently serves or has served on the following Board of Directors: SouthEastern Theatre Conference (Past President), Junior League of the Roanoke Valley (Past President), Crystal Spring Elementary PTA (Past President), The Shenandoah Club (Membership Chair), The Roanoke City Public Schools Education Foundation, and she has served on the Review Panel for the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
Ginger has also received the Kendig Award for Individual Artists in 2016 and for Arts and Cultural Organization in 2014, the DePaul Women of Achievement Award for the Arts in 2013 and was recognized as an Honoree of the MS Dinner of Champions in 2023 for outstanding community service. Ginger has been with Mill Mountain Theatre for 18 years and is excited to celebrate MMT’s 60th year. Ginger loves spending time and the daily adventures with husband Jack Avis and daughter Anne Tillison.
