Yuko Uchida

Yuko Uchida was born in Japan and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

She has been participating in group exhibitions in New York City and Tokyo and has been published in publications and newspapers stateside and abroad, including Hyperallergic and Art Observed.

Her experience in Fashion Design served her well and continues to inform her art as she repeatedly uses fabric, line and form in her constructions.

Her style is fantasy narrative in semi abstraction, expressed in varied mediums including painting, performance and stop-motion video.  There is often an element of playfulness, cartoon-like images from a unique culture and her memories.
