With this series, I rely on assemblages of lattice work and collect those impressions. My downward, aesthetic gaze leads me to repetitive beauty of geometrics underfoot while discovering chronicles of metropolitan areas. This sequence of work provokes one to notice an existence of the unobserved and has been redefined and manifested through my artist’s eye. Eventually, the geometrics become organic as I am constantly reducing them into irregular form. A “MITER” is a union formed between two edges that meet at an intersection. This notion resonates for me literally and figuratively as I look back at my recent life’s progression. By deconstructing my personal moments of divergent emotions and experiences, my hope is that you too can reframe or remember your own acute memories of your past. This series merges my competence as a graphic designer and fine artist using combined processes of photography, cyanotype, digital manipulation, painting and collage.
