Hodaya Louis (B. 1981, Jerusalem) is an interdisciplinary artist who works with painting, drawings, assemblages, sculpture and film. Her work manifests a materialistic exploration of the space between creator and creation and focuses on female-narrative rituals. Her visual language and interests are rooted in her Orthodox upbringing, multi-cultural background, and fashion design training.
Notable exhibitions include The Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art (2018) and CADAF + Mana Contemporary (2020). Recipient of the "Distinguished Artist of Israel" grant (2010). She often serves as a guest judge and speaker at The Fashion Institute of Technology, where she received her BFA in 2010.
