Frances E. Trainor

Frances is exploring the natural world through the mystical, in paint, and mixed media. Liminal spaces, the “in-between,” where light and shadow meet to form portals between what we understand and what we cannot define or control, but where shifts in form and rhythm change and dance to open our consciousness to a deeper connection with, and respect for our world. She began painting in the early nineties at Penn State, while studying German Literature, and went on to further her studies in painting in Ireland. Ireland is the root of much of her work.
