Arina Malukova was born in Kiev, USSR, now Ukraine. Immigrated to New York in 1975. She studied paintings at Pratt Institute. In 1979 she received the prestigious Ford Foundation Award for her Paintings. As an intern at the Guggenheim Museum, she worked on the definitive exhibit of the George Kostakis Collection.

Her creative style has been influenced by the NYC’s 80’s art scene shaped by many young talented artists from all over the world creating new art and exchanging ideas. She has been exhibiting her Paintings and Collages throughout the country and curating local group shows. Her style has evolved as she continued to work and experiment with various techniques including wax (encaustic painting), calligraphy and collage. She has added digital images to her tools. She holds a Photography Degree from FIT.
