Al Benkin

Artist Al Benkin, aka Mutantland, has exhibited work for over twenty-five years nationally in the USA as well as internationally. Some galleries in the U.S. include A Gathering of Tribes, NYC, The Leslie Lohman Museum, NYC, Hutson Gallery Provincetown, MA, Dutch Alley Art Coop, New Orleans, LA and Sev Ven Gallery, Huntington Valley, CA. Internationally she has shown in Lisbon, Portugal at “Pop-up Lisboa” and Skagastrond, Iceland through the NES Artist Program. In 2019, Mutantland won the Curator’s Choice Award from the Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition’s international juried show “Recycle”. In 2018, Benkin juried into longstanding Pleiades Contemporary Art Gallery in Chelsea, NYC and was invited to be Cult Party NYC’s Gallery Director and Curator in 2017. Benkin’s in private and academic collections including the Directors of Hutson Gallery and Ohio Arts Council as well as in the Genazzano College in Australia.
