Pavel Kotov

Pavel Kotov is a former Russian National Team world-class acrobatic gymnastics athlete and Judge for the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). He performed in the Russian Bars act of the Great Moscow State Circus, and after finishing his artistic career, held a number of positions in Public Relations and Marketing in the industry of sports and fitness. Pavel was invited to join the Casting Team of Cirque du Soleil in Montreal, Canada in 2004.  As the Senior Casting and Artist Management Director, he is leading the team responsible for recruiting of artists for all new creations and existing shows of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group. As the industry is recovering from the pandemic, the Cirque du Soleil show operations are rapidly ramping up with almost a thousand artists representing over 50 different countries and coming from very diverse backgrounds–circus performers, athletes, dancers, musicians, singers, actors and clowns. Pavel and his team support a variety of creation and operation teams for the resident theatres as well as the shows touring in Big Tops and in Arenas, and also special events.
