Cristina "Cha" Ramos

Intimacy & Fight Director

Cristina (Cha) Ramos (she/ella) is a multidisciplinary theatre artist with too many books, too many swords, and too many altars in her NYC apartment. Cha works primarily as an intimacy and fight director, but can also be found in rehearsal rooms as a dramaturg, playwright, and performer. As both an artist and an instructor, Cha is invested in telling underrepresented stories with a focus on the power of movement, and inviting all artists into deep self-listening, consensual collaboration, and practiced autonomy. Current projects include: associate intimacy direction for Jagged Little Pill and COMPANY on Broadway, dramaturgy for a new queer adaptation of Anna Karenina, performing with the Vixens en Garde, teaching and developing curriculum with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, and ongoing workshops of her own original plays Fire Burn Them and Like to the Gods.
